i’ve begun to visit this blog a few times now and i have to say that i find it quite great actually.
It sounds like you’re creating problems yourself by trying to solve this issue instead of looking at why their is a problem in the first place
excellent write up here, I couldnt have said it any better myself and I’m pretty good at writing
THANK YOU TECH GUY FOR YOUR STORY.
A MOTHER’S LOVE FOR HER SON IS VERY SPECIAL.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR PRECIOUS FAMILY.
MAY GOD KEEP YOU, YOUR MOTHER AND LITTLE DAUGHTER IN HIS LOVING CARE.
“Overcoming Obstacles”
As the Christmas season approaches, a family of four, with one on the way, plan a winter getaway in the mountains of San Diego. The weather forecast was for warm weather and clear skies. A couple days into the vacation, the skies turn gray and the air turns cold. Deciding to wait things out instead of packing up and leaving, the family gets trapped in a cold rainstorm. Getting chilled to the bone, the expectant mother catches a cold. She starts feeling better a few days later, but the damage has been done. The baby is born shortly after almost a month premature with underdeveloped lungs. Throughout most of his childhood, he struggled with many pulmonary problems, including chronic asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia. He spent most of his childhood struggling to breathe and getting poked and prodded by doctors. The mother, blaming herself for her son’s medical conditions, struggled with guilt.
Her son, blessed with curiosity, a good memory and mental stamina, focused on developing his mental skills by reading, playing games of skill (like chess) and learning the piano. Instead of blaming his mother for his problems, he made the best of things and began to develop many skills. Almost 40 years later, he has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Masters Degree in Information Technology and a teaching credential. He has lived out of the country for several years, organized many community events and helped developed several successful businesses, including StoriesofUSA.com, Diamond Crest Computer Consulting and Galactic Grill and Catering. And most importantly, he has a strong relationship with God, his mother and his young daughter.
“The Rear View Mirror”
Growing up as an only child was very tough! What was even tougher was being moved from school to school every year and not being able to build friendships and bond with someone or something. I was always scared. Not knowing anyone on the first day of school was very hard. I would secretly cry off by myself for hours. All alone in each new school system, I was the goofy boy with thick glasses and was often made fun off and bullied by other students. I can remember like it was yesterday, I was in the 7th grade, riding in back seat of my parents car, my father looking at me in the “Rear View Mirror” would say, “Son I have good news, we are moving and you will be going to a new school and a new area and you will be able to make new friends.” This took place over 7 times during my 7th thru 12th grade years in school. No friends, no self-confidence was building my life looking back. Many teachers would tell me that I would never amount to anything. Not all school systems are the same. I would always hope and pray that my transfer grades and credits would be accepted or even better yet, would place me ahead of the other students academically or at least be on even grounds. This was not the case at all. “We have to have him catch up with additional work so he is up to OUR standards”. My feelings of the dumb new kid on the block! This story could have continued, but I won’t let it! TODAY, I am a successful business owner with over 8 books to my credit and yes me, are asked to speak before business group Universities and schools around the country to help others understand that YES – you can and will be whatever you want to be if you work hard and believe in God. Someone will show up and guide you along the way…. Yours truly,
CEO/Author and somebody when everybody said, “You will never amount to anything.”
Randy,
It was weird reading your book….your style of talking is very much like mine. In fact, “put it in the universe” is one of our school’s lines used almost daily. In fact, in our first phone call it was noticed by our team when you used it.
Next, I will support your next book, “Dream to Achieve”. We have a Math Bowl in place to raise our Math Academics. Students will be competing in teams with $ winnings, Magic Mountain trip, gift certificates, etc. This is a good left brain activity, but with your project I can support our right brain students with a writing activity. Please share exactly what you would like the students to do for an essay. For example, how many words, what grade levels, the precise topic, etc. I looked on your website, but would still like more information.
Now for your book! America needs an alteration of attitude in the spirit of our youth. Your book plants a vision of a better America and ultimately world.
I would be interested in purchasing a class set…..in fact, I would purchase them for any family that will read it together and fill out a family worksheet prepared asking them to think about the book and the topics.

My teenage son was causing problems and being rebellious. He took my car and stayed out late against my permission. I grounded him for several weeks, and as a result, he would not be able to go to the high school prom. After reading the first 2 chapters of Left-Center-Right: What is BEST for America?, my son come to me and apologized for his poor behavior. He also requested that he would like to go to the school dance and that he would pay for the tickets and all the other expenses. Thank you for your foresight and inspiration! – Bank President
